Daydream-Style Wanting
We often create an either-or scenario when it comes to wanting.
Either we're happy with where we're at OR we're wanting more. Either we are not asking for anything and feeling good OR we're feeling awful and wanting it to be different.
This type of wanting stops us from being able to want more AND be happy in the meantime. But we can have both. We can be happy, and want more. We can ask for new experiences, materials, etc., and be fine with how things are now.
We don't need to feel bad or lacking in order to want it to be different. How? By treating wanting in the same way we treat daydreams. They're joyful experiencing, imagining what could be - often things we don't yet have. They feel good, not bad. We can want in this way, now. This video shares how.
